Hello, welcome to Washcloth Wednesday number 3!
Today I’ve made a knitted washcloth in bright red. Maybe you can see it; it is made with 2 strands and thicker needles. This gives a very soft fabric, much more so than if just 1 strand would have been used.
Pattern:
Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches + 4 (+ any border stitches if you want to)
k = knit
p = purl
Row 1: * p1, k2 *, repeat until last st, p1
Row 2 and all even rows: purl all stitches
Row 3: * p4, k2 *, repeat until last 4 st, p4
Row 5: * p1, k2 *, repeat until last st, p1
(same as row 1)
Row 7: (p1, k2), * p4, k2 *, repeat * * until last st, p1
I started and ended my washcloth with 4 rows in garterstitch, and I made a border of 2 st on either side in garterstitch.

I love the idea of a double stranded cloth it must make it quite luxurious. I love the colour would be perfect for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBonjour! Thank you for the pattern, have a nice day!
