This morning I saw the first Snowdrops, so maybe Spring isn’t that far ahead of us anymore. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera, so I can’t show you; there was such an abundance of little flowers, it was just amazing to see them. I always wonder where they come from, because I walk by that spot almost every day, and never saw them until today. Just amazing.
If you have read my last post, you’ll probably know what I’ve been doing this last week?!
It took me 11 skeins of yarn, but now all the circles have turned into squares.
I’m not sure yet about how to sew them together: at random, or with a certain plan.
In this picture the colours are a bit clustered, and I’m not too happy about it because then you get quite large parts of blue and pink, and almost no yellow.
I guess I just have to think it over a few times, and maybe put the squares on the floor in a few different way. But not right now, because Fleur is awake and has the impression I made her a new toy.
Have a nice weekend!

I think this looks beautiful. From a distance the gradient circles remind me of watercolor.
ReplyDeleteoh wow, they look amazing, I want them! how about starting with the darker cirlces on the left and going to the lighter ones on the right, but not in straight lines?
ReplyDeleteThey look amazingly beautiful, Dorien! Like water colour palette as said! What ever order you decide, they are perfect! If you make different arrangements on the floor, take photos. I feel often it's easier to see the difference on the computer screen. Perhaps you already do this.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you and Fleur! x Teje
... forgot to ask, mey I pin your beautiful photo?
ReplyDeleteGreat work!!! I want to crochet my first blanket and I am now waiting for your great finish!!! Do you have a pattern for the circles?

ReplyDeleteYou have done a very nice job of these circle/squares. Once you have your color scheme figured out, be sure to post several photos. These are very nice!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of sewing to do! But I think it will be worth it!
