For a boy with a hammer

 

Time flies; not only has it been a long time since the last post on this little blog, but it seems such a short time ago that my sons were born. And now I made this notebook for one of them, for quit a special occasion. As of this week, he will be the chairman of his tennis club. Barely 19 years old, he takes on this responsibility.  He’s looking forward to this a lot and because this mom uses every reason possible to give presents, I made him this.

Since a couple of months I’m the proud owner of new embroidery software.

Absolutely awesome, but it has so many features and possibilities, it needs a lot of study and practise to use it well. So that is exactly what I did for this cover. I found this phrase which I wanted to use and started playing with the words. Different fonts and sizes until I was satisfied, added a hammer and of course a couple of tennis rackets. Et voila:

A book, some bookbinding glue and the embroidered fabric, a little magic and the book was covered.
