Although it hardly ever happens that I use the computer after dinner, I do so tonight. It has been far too long since my last post. Not that there is so much going on up here. The boys have been home this last week because the schools are closed for the summer, and that always makes me happy. Even though they are at an age where they are not waiting for me to think of any activities. Every morning I ask what their plans are; neither of them knows. By the end of the day, both of them have had a full day; because they have been out with friends, or to play tennis, gone to the beach or sometimes work.
Last week I had to drive our youngest son to the city of Zwolle; he wanted to join the ‘Color Run’. So I had to spend some time in this town, which I didn’t know. Never been there before. But I loved it. It’s very charming with all the small streets and the lovely old houses, nice squares. I was enjoying it so much that I totally forgot to take pictures. Sorry! Except for one building; it was the first one I saw, and it was awesome.
Looks like a beautiful building; doesn’t it?. But look at what they have done. It has been renovated last year, and now it has an extension you’ve never seen before:
It really is so wonderful; the texture of the roof is reflecting the sunlight beautifully, because of all the little stones.
As for crafting; not much is happening right now. I’m waiting to get some things printed, before I can work again on the Forest QAL top, made another flower scarf and then there is this:
Have a great weekend!

Inderdaad een prachtig gebouw. Het lijkt wel een groot gezwel boven op het dak.
ReplyDeleteGrappig die rondjes met puntje. Het eerste wat in me opkomt is dat het een slinger wordt.

That's a very unusual building. It looks like aliens from outer space have invaded. HA!
ReplyDeleteHi Dorien! I'm thinking what you have in your mind for the Forest quilt?! Fantastic building - I'm happy to hear you had a lovely day exploring a new city. Happy holidays to all of you! x Teje
