These days I’m knitting about 10 hours a day. Why? Because I’ve come up with a new idea, and then I just want to figure out how to make what I have in mind.
It started with this:
Beautiful Shetland Wool, fingering weight. My favorite yarn shop has this yarn in an huge range of colours ( link ). And it is the first thing you see when you enter the shop: an enormous closet, filled with all these colours. That’s why I usually take a note with me, about what I want, because otherwise I would leave the shop with a lot of yarn, except what I came for.
Anyway. This time I did actually buy a few of these yarn-cakes, from deep dark red, softening in colour to orange, and an warm, natural one.
Playing with these colours, I had quite quickly an idea, about what to make. The red yarns are knitted in stockinette stitch, the natural in reverse stockinette.
The same idea, but now with yarn in totally different colours:
As you can see is this one still on my needles. I hope I can show you both items finished somewhere next week.
As always, thank you for visiting and for leaving such lovely comments. I always enjoy very much reading them!
Groetjes, Dorien
Dat ziet er heel speciaal uit. Ben benieuwd wat het gaat worden.
