Crochet Cowl

A little while ago I showed you a sneak peak of something which had to stay a secret at the time. Well, not anymore.

This is what I showed and this is what it became:

This was so easy to make.

Pattern:
Chain (= ch) 125 and close with slipstitch (=ss), make sure not to twist!
Row 1: Ch3 and make 1double crochet (=dc) into next 3 stitches. *skip 1 st, 1dc into next 4 st*, repeat between ** until end, close with ss into 3rd  of initial 3ch. (100 stitches)

Row 2: Ch3, 1dc into same stitch, * skip 1 stitch, 2dc into next st *, repeat until end, close with ss into 3rd of initial 3ch.

Row 3: Ch3, *2dc into space between clusters*, repeat until end, close with ss.

Repeat row 2 and 3, until desired height.

Last row: ch3, 1dc into every stitch, close.

 

For this cowl I used sock yarn in 2 colours; 1 solid and 1 variegated, hook 5.00 mm.
The whole cowl was crocheted with 2 strands:

• 2 solids
• 1solid + 1 variegated
• 2 variegated
• 1 solid + 1 variegated.

This way the pattern was ‘striped’, without the stripes being too obvious.
