Falling for Fall

001

Hello!! As you can see Fall has definitely arrived. Lots of wind and rain, and leaves twirling. Most leaves are still green, but I guess that will change soon too. I just love this season.

Time to make some new Autumn Scarves, so I started with these little acorns. Next will come the pumpkins and leaves in autumn colours.

007

This is going to become an Ikat-Cowl  for my sister. Ever since she was a little girl she loves blue, so it wasn’t a real surprise she chose this colour for the cowl. I’m using 2 different shades of Drops Delight (03 and 04).

Then the 3rd project I’m working on is of course with the fabrics I bought last week.

002

The parts have been cut out and I’ve started to sew them together. Still working on some ideas to use a knitted or crocheted border on the seam.

Then the last thing I would like to show you is something which arrived a few days ago. I had doubted so long about this: should I do this, or was it a bit presumptuous?

006

I’m very happy with how my new business cards turned out!

Groetjes, Dorien

Dorien,
The acorns are so fun and make me want Fall to show up soon here in So. California. Still hot and summer like here. Love your fabric project, a sweater maybe?
Looks beautiful and your business cards are perfect.
